Study Looks at Region’s Water Quality A study that analyzed contamination in Houston-area waterways was recently released. Most of the region’s bayous are still unfit for recreation, but there was some good news for Greens Bayou.
West Reach: Design Complete on Flood Project, More Funding Needed
It’s taken two decades, but a design to mitigate flooding in the West Reach is complete. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently released the design, which outlines a few solutions to flooding along Greens Bayou.
South and East Reach: Public Input Sought Before Waste Water Study
A study that would analyze the waste water infrastructure in the unincorporated areas of Harris County near the Houston Ship Channel may be conducted. But the Greens Bayou Corridor Coalition hopes to hear from interested members of the community first.
North Reach: Trail System Moves into Design Phase A trail system that will change the north Houston landscape by connecting several parks and recreational facilities is one step closer to completion.
