Coca Cola Southwest Beverages Cleans Up the Bayou

This past week, 54 volunteers from Coca Cola SWB came out to Jack Drake Park in the North Reach of Greens Bayou and cleaned approximately 100 bags of trash and a truckload of brush from the park and adjacent bayou....all in weather that reached 100 degrees!



Coca Cola Southwest Beverages is the bottler that supplies ALL the Coca Cola products on the shelves in the Houston area! And, so importantly, they are committed to sustainability, a clean environment, and taking care of their community. Their plant is adjacent to Greens Bayou and CCSWB has been a great Bayou Partner since building their facility, volunteering for Bayou Cleanups and participating in and sponsoring Greens Bayou Coalition events. At this cleanup event, Coca Cola SWB presented Greens Bayou Coalition with a check for $5000, which will support our mission of advocacy for quality of life in the watershed. We are so thankful to have CCSWB as our partner in the Greens Bayou Watershed!
